California voters reject legalization of marijuana. With newspapers, political parties and candidates for governor conveying their anti-drug views leading up to the polls, voters in the US state did the same as they decisively rejected a measure that would have legalized growing and possession of certain quantities of marijuana. Meanwhile, Californians also voted down Proposition 23, thus maintaining their show of support for the state's climate goals and commitment to sustainable energy.

Bravo, California on your exemplary leadership in the fields of energy and healthy lifestyles. Wishing your citizens abundant clear-minded fulfillment and that many other governments act similarly to hasten the day that all may enjoy intoxicant-free lives.
