A report from the Health Protection Agency stated that about 130 people throughout England and Wales have been infected with a Salmonella strain that preliminary testing has linked to consumption of poultry and eggs. The Health Protection Agency has launched a full investigation into the illnesses, which have come from eight restaurants and one elder care home. Sadly, two fatalities have resulted and several have been hospitalized so far with the intestinal bacterium, which produces nausea, fever, abdominal pain and sometimes death.

Our appreciation, Health Protection Agency and the United Kingdom, for your efforts to inform and protect the public. We send our sympathies for the lives lost as we pray for the recovery of those who are suffering and that humanity soon embraces the healthy plant-based diet for a world free of diseases as these.
