British health officials have reported a finding of poisonous oysters off the coast of Dorset in the United Kingdom. Toxins produced by the oysters cause a type of shellfish poisoning that results in acute diarrhea and vomiting. Officials have ordered a temporary halt on the harvesting of mussels, clams, scallops and oysters, with warning signs that have been posted for the public throughout Weymouth and Portland Borough. We thank the Weymouth and Portland health officials for your concerned actions to safeguard public health. Mayafflictions as these become a thing of the past as more and more people turn to the wholesome and life-saving plant-based diet.
