As annual alcohol-related hospital admissions increase to over one million for the first time ever, the British government has reported that one in six deaths on the road are caused by drunk drivers.
Alcohol dependency was found to have cost £2.41 million in prescription medicines alone, with overall alcohol-related health costs in the billions of pounds. Advocacy groups in the UK remind that there is no such thing as a safe alcohol level for driving.

Meanwhile, the country's Department of Transportation has implemented an immediate fine system for dangerous behavior such as drunk driving, in an effort to restore safety to the roads.

We are thankful for the concern of both the government and advocacy groups wishing to safeguard the well being of the public. May more and more people uphold the preciousness of life and health by living alcohol-free.
