A "lost world" in the ancient tundra is rediscovered.
An international team led by several US scientists was working in an ice-free region of Antarctica when they discovered several well-preserved clues to the world as it existed 14 million years ago, before a sudden 8-degree Celsius temperature drop took place. The dramatic difference between the abundance of life in the area then as opposed to its frozen state now may help scientists better comprehend many things about our Earth.
Thank you, researchers, for this insightful discovery. With Heaven’s grace, may our knowledge gained from the ancient past help us move more quickly in protecting our planet today.
