Kuwait supports brethren in Sudan. At a donor conference hosted in Kuwait, the country’s Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah announced the donation of US$500 million for rehabilitation in east Sudan. This amount is in addition to US$1.3 billion already donated for projects in the agricultural and industrial domains during the period 2000 to 2010. Affirming his country's wish to continue supporting constructive advancements in the country, the prime minister noted that this most recent contribution would primarily promote development projects, with US$50 million allocated to social projects.
