LAES member states meet to find food crisis solutions. Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (LAES) leaders are seeking to identify and address root causes of the current food crisis that have led to soaring food prices over the past three years.

LAES President Geronimo Cardozo stated that the attendees also sought to reach a unified position prior to the upcoming UN Food and Agriculture Organization’s summit convening on the food crisis in Rome, Italy this week. We send our best wishes all participants for your efforts to find innovative new approaches to ensure all people can be fed. May all across the globe be graced with adequate nourishment.
