Darfur groups sign UN-supported peace agreement - 2 Jul 2010

Leaders of the Misseriya and Rizeigat groups in Darfur, Sudan signed a reconciliation agreement on Monday, June 28 to peacefully end a land dispute that had resulted in the perishing of thousands of people since 2003.
The United Nations-African Union UNAMID mission in Darfur as well as the Darfur Peace and Reconciliation Council, local leaders and native administrations have all been working together to assist in peaceful resolution.

Our accolades, Misseriya and Rizeigat leaders, for your diplomatic accord, as we send our earnest appreciation, United Nations and all other groups for your help in fostering regional harmony. May the people of Darfur and throughout Sudan be graced with lasting tranquility and peace.
