Iraq’s Cabinet has approved a proposal for a national monitoring system to prevent the spread of harmful weapons, which has been sent to the nation’s parliament for approval.

This measure would ensure that Iraqi seas and airways are not used to transfer, store or produce weapons of mass destruction. Our grateful thanks, Iraqi Cabinet members and Iraq, for your commitment to promoting peaceful ways.

Such measures as yours advance all of humanity another step toward the noble ideal of a weapon-free globe.
