On Friday, the last 100 British military personnel left Iraq.

These naval officers were the only ones remaining after the country decided last year on an early withdrawal of troops.

Friday’s departure thus marks the official end of British military presence in Iraq.
Our congratulations, United Kingdom on resuming diplomatic relations with all Iraqi brethren.
Wishing the British service persons warm reunions with loved ones and the people of Iraq abundant stability
and peace.
