Kyrgyzstan votes in new prime minister. On Friday, December 17, Kyrgyz Parliament members elected Mr. Almazbek Atambayev as the country’s next premier, along with designating other key government posts. Extending her congratulations was Kyrgyzstan’s interim President Roza Otunbaeva, who urged the new leaders toward constructive actions as she said, “Kyrgyzstan has stepped onto a new development road.”
