Researcher fellow Dr. Wang Chung-ho of Academia Sinica in Formosa has stated that based on more data from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, all low lying lands, including the capital city of Taipei could be completely submerged by the end of the century.

Solutions such as people moving en masse to higher mountainous regions are also not optimal as this would displace indigenous people. It could also trigger further landslide disasters from combined overdevelopment and increased rains due to global warming.

Dr. Wang’s findings have been corroborated by a report just released from the World Wildlife Fund, which states that rapidly disappearing ice sheets in Greenland and western Antarctica are doubling sea level rise projections to more than a meter by century’s end.

Dr. Fan Kuang-Lung, National Taiwan University, Institute of Oceanography, Formosa (M):In the recent 10 years, the average sea level has risen 3.2 centimeters.

It may seem not so serious that the sea level is 3 centimeters higher over 10 years, but in fact, it’s very serious.

Our thanks, Dr. Wang, World Wildlife Fund and all scientists who are carefully studying our planet’s precarious state. Let us quickly curb greenhouse gas emissions at all costs to prevent worse disasters and restore our environment to a state of well-being.

Speaking via videoconference to a California, USA audience in December 2008, Supreme Master Ching Hai once again conveyed her deep concern and understanding of both the Earth’s plight and solution for all of humanity.

Supreme Master Ching Hai: So many islands have sunk under water already.
Many coastal cities’ land has been eroded. Two thousand more islands are sinking, and 18 islands–for what we have known, maybe more, but we don’t know—18 islands including small nation islands already gone, disappeared under water, sometimes 6 meters under water already, and another 40 are or at risk of sinking,
or uninhabitable or begin to be uninhabitable because they cannot cultivate anymore because the land became inundated with salty water already.

I WANT TO PLEAD WITH ALL THE PLANET PEOPLE.
PLEASE STOP KILLING ANIMALS.
PLEASE HAVE COMPASSION.
PLEASE TURN TO VEGETARIAN DIET.
PLEASE BE VEGAN.
THAT IS TO SAVE YOURSELVES AND YOUR CHILDREN.

SO, ORGANIC VEGAN DIET IS THE ANSWER.
