Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Âu Lạc (Vietnam).
At the start of September, incessant torrential rains affected central regions, from Đà Nẵng city to Bình Định province. Resulting floods took at least six lives, and lightning strikes injured five others in Quảng Ngãi province.

In Thừa Thiên province, thousands of hectares of rice and other crops were destroyed. On September 7, Supreme Master Ching Hai conveyed her heartfelt condolences, love, and prayers while requesting that our local Association members go and help in any way possible.

She also donated US$15,000 for those most urgently in need, including the orphaned, elderly and injured. This amount could obtain US$252,000 in emergency items, if bought in the United States, based on Âu Lạc’s cost of living.

Covering their own food and travel expenses, our Association’s Aulacese (Vietnamese) relief team set out on September 19 for Quảng Điền district, Huế City, and Thừa Thiên province.

Assisted by the Red Cross of Quảng Điền district and officials from several villages, our relief team was able to deliver emergency items to 248 households. The village personnel and relief recipients, including the elderly, expressed their joyful gratitude for Master’s love and concern. Our appreciation, Red Cross and all village officials for your kindhearted help.

We are also thankful to Supreme Master Ching Hai, whose benevolence and support brings comfort to the distressed, and to our Association’s relief team for their diligent endeavors.

May Heaven bless the afflicted Aulacese people with a smooth resuming of their peaceful daily lives as we strive for more compassionate, eco-friendly standards. Please tune in to Supreme Master Television for the second part of this relief report on Noteworthy News.
