The Martha Stewart Show celebrates a meat-free Thanksgiving.
Hosted by Emmy-award winning media personality Martha Stewart, a recent episode called “Vegetarian Thanksgiving” showcased healthful meat-free choices for the holiday.
Interviewing such guests as director Robert Kenner of the renowned documentary “Food, Inc.,” Martha spoke of the livestock industry’s cruelty when discussing the film, which describes factory farmed food production in the United States. She went on to meet with award-winning author of “Eating Animals,” meat-free Jonathan Safran Foer, and then featured a cooking segment with Ubuntu chef Jeremy Fox, who showed how to create tasty veg side dishes and meat-free stuffing.
Our applause, Martha Stewart and participating guests for showing viewers the joys of celebrating Thanksgiving veg style. May such noble initiatives hasten an era of compassion where humans and animals alike may give thanks for life together, each and every day.
