350 grams shelled cooking apples
50 grams sugar
50 grams vegan margarine or butter
150 grams self-raising flour
Cinnamon powder (optional)
½ cup water
Pinch of salt
½ cup soy milk



  1. Shell about 350 grams of cooking apples and then chop them.
  2. Put the apple into a pan, add in a very little water and cook them until they are tender but still have some lumps in it.
  3. Add in some sugar for sweeter taste.
  4. Just when the apple is boiled, add in the cinnamon powder and a little bit of salt. Stir a while. And let it aside.
  5. Mix well 100 grams of self-raising flour with a pinch of salt.
  6. Add in 50 grams of vegan margarine.
  7. Mix them well and make it like a bread crumb.
  8. Pit the fruit in the baking dish, flatten it and pour in the flour mixture on top of the fruit. Flatten a little bit.
  9. Sprinkle a little of of soya milk into it. Use a brush to spread it over the surface or just your finger to spread it
  10. This soya milk will make the pie golden.
  11. Pre heat the oven until it reaches 190o Celcius or 375o Fahrenheit.
  12. Place the pie into the oven for about 30 minutes or until it is golden brown.
  13. Take out the pie and let it cool down.
  14. Ready to be served.
