According to the British Environmental Agency, two million Britons are unaware that their house and belongings could be quickly lost to swelling rivers or the rising sea. In 2007, extreme flooding affected 55, 000 homes, with 1,000 families who are still staying in temporary living arrangements.

Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, Dr Paul Leinster encouraged Britons to check government websites for information that would help them to be adequately prepared for potential flood conditions. Our sincere thanks, Dr. Leinster and British Environmental Agency, for your efforts to ensure citizens’ safety. We pray that potential calamities such as these will be lessened through our benevolent actions toward fellow beings and the environment.
