In animal welfare news, the indigenous Wayuu people of Colombia join in turtle protecting endeavors. Local Wayuu children released 200 Caguama, also known as Loggerhead sea turtles, on the Bahia Hondita beach. Volunteers selected by the community will make rounds to make sure nests and baby turtles are safeguarded.

Our heartfelt appreciation, Wayuu people, for helping to preserve the precious turtles. May these special co-inhabitants be blessed to enjoy long lives in safety and happiness.
