The construction of the Arco Metropolitano do Rio de Janeiro was put on hold after finding the tiny two-centimeter endangered frog species, Physalaemus soaresi.

The News Agency of Animal Rights of Brazil reported that the Secretariat of Work of Rio de Janeiro, who is responsible for the endeavor, has proposed a US$18 million flyover to preserve the frog’s habitat.

Our hats off to you, Secretariat of Work of Rio de Janeiro, for your dedication to safeguarding the home of the precious frogs. May all our co-inhabitants blessing the planet be respected and cherished evermore.
