Formosa (Taiwan) passes new animal protection law. The law more clearly defines abuse and mandates that human caretakers refrain any form of violence toward their animal companions. Animals must also be provided with basic necessities such as vaccinations, food, water, and protection from abuse or harassment. Moreover, the new law defines cats and dogs officially as pets for the first time, making it completely illegal to consume them.

Thank you and blessed be Formosa for your loving and honorable commitment to our cherished animal companions. May Heaven bless all with long happy lives of knowing only safety, comfort and love
