The Tourism Department in the state of Goa on India's west coast has announced that all recreational spots including beach shacks are required to display signs asking tourists not to use tobacco products. This policy follows the state government's decision to prohibit smoking in popular tourism places, including the more than 300 palm-thatched beach shacks across 105 kilometers of beachfront.

Kudos Goa state for your proactive smoke-free measuresto ensure public health. Wishing many more recreation areas do the same for the flourishing vitality and enjoyment of all citizens.
