A study conducted collaboratively by several groups of German scientists found that, compared to children who grew up in a smoke-free environment, those who were exposed to smoke while still in the womb were 90% more likely to develop behavior problems by the time they reached school age.

Children exposed to smoke from birth to age one were at 30% greater risk of such disorders, which include hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder and difficulties interacting socially.

Many thanks, German researchers for this revealing information on yet another danger of tobacco to the innocent young. Let us act to eliminate this harmful substance and safeguard our children’s well-being for their fullest developmental potential.
