In veg news, a South Korean Buddhist temple is home to a very special cat. Jeong-Soon not only prays in Yong-Yeon-Sa Temple located in Youngdong, he has also adopted the plant-based diet of his caregiver, the head Buddhist nun. About two years old now, Jeong-Soon has lived in the temple since he was very young and he naturally became vegan. His main meals are delicious soya bean paste soups cooked especially for him, containing vegan meat, melon, bean sprouts, and cabbage, among other nutritious vegetables. For snacks, Jeong-Soon adores peanuts and fruit. Many who come to the temple are very impressed with Jeong-Soon’s loving nature.

Dae Eop (f): I would enter the meditation hall around 10 PM and leave at around 6 AM; then he sits there all the time with me. He sits on a pile of cushions because he likes to sit in high places.

ANCHOR: Bravo and Heaven bless you, Jeong-Soon, for your compassionate spirit in choosing plant-based fare. May you be graced with many more joyful and prayerful years with your cherished caregiver and others at the Yong-Yeon-Sa Temple.
