A look at the Book of Revelations.

The last Book of the Christian Bible describes the visions recorded by a spiritual practitioner whose inner journeys allowed him to glimpse different periods of the planet’s history. In a recent videoconference in Sydney, Australia, our Association member asked Supreme Master Ching Hai to share her insights on some of the Book’s passages.

Videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai
with Sydney Center, Australia – August 17, 2008

Our Association member (M): Catastrophes have been described in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. It says that the last of which is an earthquake, the likes of which has never been seen. It also mentions disease, the blistering sun, the water turning into blood, and it also mentions that man will curse God for the catastrophes and will not repent their ways. I don’t know if Master can expand on the Book of Revelations from the Bible and these predictions pertaining to the day of the end?

Supreme Master Ching Hai: This is the description of the end of the world, and it should be correct so. That is, if humankind have no guidance and no spiritual grace from Heaven, or from any of the representative of Heaven, then this thing that has been predicted in the Bible would occur, and it would be like that, or even worse.

But if humankind has enlightened guidance and awaken themselves to a better way of life, a more virtuous, as originally intended by Heaven, and if they remember their great Self again and live accordingly, then these things will be minimized up to the minimum, or almost zero. So let’s hope it will be minimized to zero. We’re trying our best.

VOICE: We are grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai and the comforting message she brings to our world. May the Providence guide us to proceed toward virtuous and compassionate living with all fellow beings.

Please tune in to Supreme Master Television’s Between Master and Disciples at a later date for the broadcast of this videoconference with Supreme Master Ching Hai, with multi-language subtitles.

Alaska forests face devastation from climate change.

The state of Alaska, USA has experienced an average 3 degrees Celsius warming since the 1960s. Peat bogs that have existed for centuries are now drying up, releasing heat-trapping methane and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and increasing the risk of wildfires. The warmer climate is also boosting insect populations, which has already caused the loss of millions of hectares of white spruce trees. Regarding Alaska’s situation, Dr. Glenn Juday of the University of Alaska in Fairbanks stated, “We've got mounds of evidence that an extremely powerful and unprecedented climate-driven change is underway.”

Our gratitude, Dr. Juday and associates, for your observations that clearly show the impact of global warming. We pray that we quickly become good stewards of the Earth together, to protect the future of all life.

Food supply affected by continued honey bee decline.

During a recent US congressional hearing, farmers indicated that the loss of the honey bee was threatening food supplies and would likely to lead to higher food prices. Colony Collapse Disorder, which is the near complete disappearance of bees from a hive, has caused some US beekeepers to lose up to 90 percent of their bees.  Bee experts at Pennsylvania State University found extremely high levels of chemicals as well as over 70 agricultural pesticides in bee hives and the pollen. Scientists suspect that the combined effect of many chemicals over prolonged periods may be one of the primary causes of Colony Collapse Disorder. A similar finding in Germany and France resulted in a recent ban of pesticides.

We send our appreciation, American farmers and scientists, for this cautionary alert. We look forward to the day when food is grown without chemicals and the vital honeybee is fully restored.
