Seattle Times reports on the city’s growing number of vegetarian and vegan options.
People in the US city of Seattle, Washington are becoming accustomed to a wide choice of animal-free options, with offerings that continue to expand. The city’s leading newspaper reported on just some of the all plant-based food items available, including the Mighty-O vegan Donut Shop, Flying Apron Vegan Bakery, Sidecar for Pigs’ Peace vegan grocery, Molly Moon’s vegan-friendly ice cream, Hillside Quickie vegan deli, and nearly a dozen vegan restaurants. Commenting on the breadth of opportunities for those who choose a plant-based lifestyle, owner of the vegetarian Carmelita restaurant Michael Hughes stated, “It almost seems like Seattle and its environment are a magnet for people who are thinking more environmentally conscious and health conscious.”
Our deep appreciation, Seattle Times, for news of this encouraging trend in a major US city. We send a warm thank you to all Seattle vegan establishments and customers for creating a thriving marketplace that benefits our health, our animal co-inhabitants and our Earth.
