India's heavy rains a result of climate change.

Last week, India's southwestern Kerala state saw the highest levels recorded in a quarter-century. Experts believe the rains are not over yet, and that climate change is a cause. Dr. C. K. Rajan of the Cochin University of Science and Technology said that the rise in the ocean temperature could be prolonging the low pressure area that is bringing the rain.

The German city of Freiburg has become one of the greenest cities in the world.

Freiburg is a model of eco-conscious living and through the introduction of 'passive houses' it is now one of the most eco-friendly cities in the world. Using a fraction of the energy used by a conventional house, 'passive houses' provide year round warmth and comfort through super insulation and naturally recycled heating.

A big thank you, Freiburg, for taking a lead role in conserving our life-giving planet. God bless your residents for striving to create a peaceful and sustainable future for the global community.
