China and India commemorate 60 years of friendship. Arriving on Wednesday, December 15 in India for a three-day visit coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was accompanied by a 400-person business delegation as he also sought to enhance the two countries’ trade relations. During meetings with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, agreements were reached to cooperate on addressing climate change and developing green technologies. On Thursday, the two leaders also enjoyed a commemorative anniversary celebration, complete with talented jugglers, Chinese folk performers, bowl dancers, Indian Kathak recitals and an Indo-Chinese fusion orchestra.

Our respectful congratulations, Your Excellencies, India and China, on your cordial meetings and advancements in collaboration. May such efforts bring abundant opportunity, shared understanding and prosperity to the people of both your nations.
