In world news, the European Union donates €5.3 million in laboratory equipment to Zambia. The contribution is to foster trade and growth by supporting quality checking of imported and exported products. Zambia Bureau of Standards will use the equipment, which was given as part of a five-year Capacity Building for the Private Sector Development project funded by the European Union. Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister His Excellency Felix Mutati expressed his gratitude for the gift.
