Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from India.
Heavy monsoon rains that began early July triggered a flood in the Barpeta District of Assam, India, causing people and animals  to perish, with over half a million villagers affected as many lost their bamboo homes.
Supreme Master Ching Hai donated US$20,000 in aid for the urgently in need on July 15, conveying her love and prayers.

This could purchase US$336,000 in relief items if bought in the United States, based on the cost of living in India.

Covering their own expenses, our Association’s relief team from Formosa (Taiwan) traveled to four disaster-struck villages. These were located on a small, remote island inaccessible to either government or non-governmental organizations even after the flood subsided. With the help of the organization Rotary International, our relief team was able to distribute emergency food and clothing.

Anu P. – Rotary Club of Guwahati, Assam, India (M): This time, in the month of July, there were floods in Assam, and many parts of Assam were affected.
We have given relief to about 5,000 families.Everything has happened with the blessings of Supreme Master
Ching Hai. Thank you for taking care of our people in Assam, in India from a very far off place. Thank you.

VOICE: Our thanks, Rotary International for your assistance in relieving the distressed in India. We join in gratefulness to Supreme Master Ching Hai for her caring aid, and appreciate the dedicated work of our Association's relief team.

May the villagers return quickly to their normal lives, as we pray for humanity’s expanding benevolence to help
such disasters subside.
