Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Pakistan.
Storms at the end of August poured 110 millimeters of rain onto the city of Karachi, triggering floods and causing at least 15 fatalities, with 24 people sustaining injuries.

Expressing her love and prayers, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated US$20,000 in aid on September 2 for the orphaned, elderly, injured and those desperate persons without aid from elsewhere.

This amount could acquire US$362,000 in urgent items if purchased in the United States, based on Pakistan’s cost of living. Our Association members from Singapore went to the affected region, covering all their own travel and related expenses.

As Supreme Master Ching Hai frequently asks for updates, the following is our Association’s relief report, sent via Foreign Group.

October 29, 2009 Most merciful Master,
Re: Flood Relief Work in Karachi, Pakistan On October 15, 2009,
we arrived in Karachi and purchased relief items. With the help of local governors and friends, on October 24 we distributed relief items and SOS flyers to 1,200 families from 17 villages in the Soneri Beach area.
Prior to the distribution, Mr. Shah from the Red Cross briefly introduced Master with gratitude for her unconditional love and compassion.

It was a very overwhelming and touching scene as thousands of villagers eagerly awaited the much needed supplies that were offered with Master’s love along with the SOS flyers.
Thank you so much, Master, for your immense love and blessing; everything went very smoothly. It was such an honor for us to experience God’s love and grace in this way.

Love from Association members in Singapore

VOICE: Supreme Master Ching Hai replied with the following message.

High flying souls, Thank you for going through a lot to help the Pakistani people
in their hour of need.  I can imagine the scene you described, which brought tears to my eyes. God be praised, and all my love to you and Singapore.

VOICE: We thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for allowing us to share these details with our concerned viewers, and to our Association’s Foreign Group for providing this report.

Our gratefulness also goes to Supreme Master Ching Hai for her ever-caring support that comforts the distressed, and to our Association’s relief team for their sincere efforts. May the Pakistani people soon return to productive day-to-day lives, as such calamities are eased through our gentler care of the eco-sphere.
