Following a visit between visit South Korea’s Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun and Supreme Leader Kim Jong-il of the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea, a plan to allow some tourism from South Korea was announced.

North Korea will also resume the program of reuniting separated families in time for the holiday Chuseok,
or Mid-Autumn Festival, in early October.

Our gratitude, Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun, Supreme Leader Kim Jong-il and North Korea for these gestures of reconciliation and goodwill.

May the people of the Korean peninsula be blessed with brotherly friendship and peace.
